Flying high

Hello everyone this is my project for the Clarity groovi challenge FLYING HIGH I have to admit I did not know where I was going with one so you will see have gone back on myself as I decided to add decoupage to this which is feel brought it out more but like a lot of us I am still learning I did my boarder work first will list what I used below

Clarity groovi starter kit
Clarity groovi boarder holder
Clarity straight boarder pricking pattern plate 1
Clarity hill plate
Groovi feathered friends plate /Squared scalloped plate
Number two pricking tool /Pergamano  scissors
Faber castell polychrome pencils
Clarity light box /Clarity Parchment
Pergmano purple embossing mat
Pergamano glue

Before we start use a tumble dryer sheet on the side of parchment that you will be scoring or whitening from the front side of parchment you do your pricking and snipping only

Lets get started
I did the boarder first started at the bottom with the pricking pattern plate did the square pattern each row I moved the parchment up so the pattern was in place leaving the gap I found this easier way for myself if I moved the boarder plate around the parchment found never matched up to what I wanted so this was my solution then when I had what I wanted then went inside each corner of the pattern put another square in each corner for different effect
Now I added my flying bird using the starter kit. and added a boarder around inside of pattern and out side using the square scalloped thin edge

Add in your hills and sun Now on the reverse of the parchment still on your embossing mat add your white work do remember to do little bits at a time don't press to hard the white work will come up but you do not want it to buckle

I've shown you a more close up of the pattern so you can see that the white work is coming on but leave for a day if you can

Once you are happy with how white you have this you can start snipping out the pieces but remember you do this from the front put scissors in the holes not to far twist to the left then snip practice on scrap parchment if still not sure

I coloured my work then decided I want to decoupage this
So back to the birds and scrap parchment

Now with my twin pricking tool went all around the pieces of the wings an head that I wanted I added these the  main card with peragamano glue I hope you enjoyed this project thank you for visiting my blog hope to see you again soon x

Blue Tit's

Hello everyone This months Clarity challenge is FLYING HIGH for this project thought the blue tits needed to come out love these stamps so lets get started will put below what I used

Clarity bloom branches
Clarity pine trees
Clarity mask moon/ hill masks
Adirondack Denim / pitch black ink pad
Distress ink pad iced spruce /pine needles / weathered wood
Clarity stencil brushes / make up sponges
Masking tape / promarkers / ruler

Mask off area around card, stamp top big branch first then fit in the other two now place the hanging nuts so you can use the branch to attach arrange where you will put the blue tits

Mask birds and the moon

Now with weathered wood ink pad and stencil brush put in your sky then again from the top add some Denim till you are happy with what you have put on little at a time can add more but cant take away . with your hill mask in place at the top first  add light amount of Iced spruce using  make up sponge remember this is in the distance so the more you reach the bottom the colour must get slightly darker
If you are happy with this

Add your pine stamps with black ink if to juicy blot off onto paper first then stamp clean your stamp now go in on the gaps add the pine ink
I used mixture of yellows blues blending promaker for the birds and browns for the peanuts. with black promarker with fine nib and ruler attach your nuts to the tree  hope you enjoyed this Thank you for visiting my blog hope I will see you again soon xx

Best wishes

Hello everyone this months Clarity challenge is ALL ABOUT THE WORDS This is what I came up with for this theme hope you like this I will list what I used below

Clarity northern lights papers
Clarity clear non coloured parchment
Clarity groovi starter kit
Groovi butterfly wreath plate /Floral circle plate
Scallop circle and the square  plates /Straight square pricking plate
Diagonal boarder piercing plate 3
Boarder plate mate
Tumble dryer sheet
Embossing tools Parchment snips /Faber Castell polochromo colour pencils
Clarity light box Pergomano
Pergamano soft purple mat /Clarity sticky tags

Before we start Can I remind anyone who does not know the workings of parchment That you do all your scoreing and embossing on the reverse of  parchment and use your tumble dryer sheet on this side. Any piercing or cutting is done on the front  you do your white work on the soft side of board colouring on the hard side the more we do these things the more we remember

Lets get started With the starter kit I used the little boxes and the letters I put these in first using my number 1 tool for sharp colour

Now placed the scallop circle in plate mate  make sure you try get this in the middle now with the scallop square put in your square around the circle   giving yourself a boarder
Add the floral circle to the plate mate sits just right so you do not have to move it around

Now add your butterfly

On the reverse side still but with tool one  and boarder pricking plate I added my patterns embossing not pricking Now change to straight pricking plate prick from front of work pierce every whole between letter boxes and the centre work

This is what should look like now

I did my butterfly on scrap piece of parchment for my decoupage

Add white work remember don't press to hard little at a time let the work rest for at least a day  so it does not buckle and keep building on the whiteness will come Now I have coloured all the work to what I wanted

I am not expert at picot edging so where I could I used the straight pricking grid go to admit this was my best so far at this what is it they say practise make perfect found the butterfly harder but managed to do this using the twin tool remember when you use your snips or scissors hold them down and twist before cut each time I used glue dot to add my butterfly to my work I did not have the glue at this stage I used the northern lights papers which felt it gave this work just that bit more colour hope you enjoyed this Thank you for visiting my blog hope I will see you again soon

Blue Tit

Hello everyone this card is my sample for Clarity stamp and stencil challenge ALL IN THE WORDS
I hope you like it I will list what I used below

Clarity northern lights papers
Clarity Theother card
Clarity Blue tit stamp / tree stamp / Sentiment stamp
Clarity Blue tit and moon mask clouds and hills
Xcut die/ die machine
Clarity stencil brushes /Make up sponge
Promarkers
Adirondack Black / Denim  ink pads
Distress ink pad iced spruce / Weathered wood
Clarity blending mat A4/ masking tape
Pinflair glue gel

Lets get started

I put the die on card stamped the images through this so I knew exactly where needed to be  Then I put through die machine
When I took out of die machine I put little bit of masking tape behind the die to keep card in place now added masks I started with sky Brush weathered wood ink over sky then from the top worked down the card with denim remove moon mask add some clouds with make up sponge.
Place your hill mask towards the sky with sponge add hills in lightly as you move mask down make the area slightly darker till you reach the bottom then add couple of trees blot plop on paper first special if ink pad is new don't want them to dark as they are in the distance

Now with promarkers add your colour blending as you go I used a grey pen with fine point went around the outside of the bird

I used the deckle edge on blending mat the tear the piece of northern lights papers and with stencil brush did not need to re ink as had just enough ink on brush to go around the torn edges of this piece
now I put this together I used pinflair glue gel to raise my centre piece  Well I hope you enjoyed this thank you for visiting my blog hope I will see you again soon x
