A flower for my love
Hello every one another month gone by already well it ANYTHING GOES theme hope you enjoy
I decided to use water colour card as I have done water colours in the past but not for card craft with stamps so here we go I used
Clarity stamps which are in picture
Sponges Clarity brushes
Navy card /lilac card /Clarity water colour card
sentiment stamps clarity
Water spray bottle
Grunge paste
Distress inks/Adirondack ink pads
Gelli plate /brayer
promarker Aubergine with fine point
Clarity rose stencil/masking tape
spectrum noir natural 063 /072
Lets get started I sprayed my water colour card so damp but not soaking wet with gelli plate I used shaded lilac and dusty concord on gelli plate with brayer but don't mix to much then with Adirondack Raspberry use the flower stamp to stamp onto gelli plate now pull your print then with broken china distress ink and little bit denim Adirondack do same with brayer then with salty ocean distress ink do your flowers again and pull your print again now wait to dry properly
apply your grunge paste with scraper wait to dry
applying stencil again mask of the rest of the card I used with sponge first on leaves crushed olive distress ink then with bundled sage forest moss iced spruce do your shading then with the petals used red brick distress ink blend with aged mahogany and a tiny bit not much at all of Adirondack eggplant then when you have your desired depth of colour with forest green use the stamp that is shown above stamping the leaves till you are happy do the same with petals aged mahogany
take masks off then go around the edges of work with Victorian velvet distress ink with clarity brushes till desired depth then stamp your words with eggplant then using promarker aubergine fine point draw a straight line around meeting the words then do a swirly line in and out of straight line the add a dot in the middle of swirl with pencils from above shade around the rose make it ping out hope you enjoyed this thank you for taking the time to read it

ReplyDeleteWhat a great design, Julie. I hadn't guessed the background was a Gelli-print. Love your technique of stamping through the stencil onto the grunge paste. x
